Excited for a two week break from school

An unknown virus travels round the globe

we must wear masks, it soon became a rule

sent into lockdown, from a small microbe

uncertainty grew as the virus spread

and before long thousands dying each day

can’t see our loved ones, our hearts filled with dread

wishing to do things but in bed we lay

despite all the havoc, good did emerge

built new bonds, and character grew stronger

patience was tested, and we fought the urge

to go out to parties a tad longer

And despite the bad things, many there were

There were many good ones, all should concur
